Today marked my third session in the gym. Thank You Lord!
I’ve been easing myself in and doing classes. Two were ‘energise and tone’ and today’s class was ‘moan, groan and tone’. Can you see the pattern?
I want to tone…..ha!
I’m enjoying being back in the gym and pushing my body to do what I know it thrives on and loves. I’m especially enjoying the glorious aches from well worked out muscles the next day! YES!!!! Bring it on!! Firm thighs, arms, bottom and tum here we come!! Hallelujah!!
It does feel different being back in the gym this time round though, not in terms of what my body can physically do, but more in terms of my responsibilities as a Mother.
Pre baby days I could do as many classes as I wanted, when I wanted and mix it up with weight training or just going for a run on the treadmill. Now I have to plan everything in advance, not do as much as I would like and ensure I’ll be home in time to make sure my children get to bed at a reasonable hour…..precision is key when you’re a Momma and sometimes I just want to be spontaneous…..*ho hum*
Whining aside, I’m glad I’ve started somewhere and I’ll just have to be patient as I work out how to properly integrate regular exercise into my busy and often chaotic life as a working single Mother. There is so much I want to do to improve my fitness and I’d like to get my children involved in activities too, but I guess I’ll have to just take one day at a time…
